Navjot Singh Sidhu took to social media to remind India of the 2024 T20 World Cup victory. India recently lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 but Sidhu chose to focus on the positives.

He praised captain Rohit for leading India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Sidhu also praised Suryakumar Yadav for the excellent performance of the Indian team in T20I events under his leadership.

Navjot Singh Sidhu has also spoken out in support of Rohit Sharma before. He backed Rohit’s comeback despite speculations about Rohit’s retirement.

Rohit Sharma wins Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25

Rohit Sharma is in poor batting form in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he scored just 31 runs in three Tests at an average of 6.20 . He never looked confident in any of his knockouts, even falling in his final fight in Sydney.

Rohit played the second, third and fourth Tests of the series after missing the first game due to the birth of his second child. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah led India in the first and fifth Tests of the series.

A mixed bag for Rohit Sharma

Meanwhile, 2024 is going to be a mixed year for Rohit Sharma. He led India to win the 2024 T20 World Cup with his brilliant batting performance and impressive captaincy. After leading India to win the 2024 T20 World Cup, his form declined significantly and his form in Test matches went from bad to worse. He had a poor home Test season and struggled against Bangladesh and New Zealand.

In the 10 home Tests before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Rohit had scored 133 runs at an average of just 13.30. During this period, his life span was only half a century, and his best life span was 52 years old.
