Firefighters race to battle LA blaze as winds rise, death toll rises to 16




Firefighters battled into Saturday night trying to contain the massive wildfires around Los Angeles as winds picked up, pushing the blazes into previously untouched neighborhoods. At least 16 people have been confirmed dead in the wildfires that have ripped through the city, leaving communities in ruins and testing the mettle of thousands of firefighters – and millions of Californians.
