NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said the chipmaker’s plans to invest in OpenAI remain “on track” after recent reports suggested simmering tensions between the two parties.

“Nothing dramatic happened. Everything is on track,” Huang told CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Tuesday. The full interview will air on “Mad Money” later in the day.

In September, Huang Jensen and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman jointly announced a letter of intent involving investment in their company Up to $100 billion Batches in the artificial intelligence lab. OpenAI will build an artificial intelligence infrastructure around Nvidia’s technology, requiring up to 10 gigawatts of power.

Nvidia shares fell more than 3.4% today, leading a broader decline in technology stocks and are down 13% from a high hit in October.

Jensen Huang said on Tuesday that Nvidia would invest in OpenAI’s next round of financing, which he called “the largest private equity round in history.” OpenAI is participating in a funding round that could raise up to $100 billion, CNBC reported last month.

“We will make the next round of investment,” Huang said. “There’s no doubt about it.”

He said Nvidia would consider investing in any future OpenAI rounds and hopes to participate in an eventual OpenAI IPO.

Since the company’s founding, OpenAI has used Nvidia’s graphics processing units to build and serve its artificial intelligence models.

But in recent months, Altman said OpenAI doesn’t have enough chips to meet demand for its products like ChatGPT and could generate more revenue by adding more computing power. OpenAI has been striking chip deals with Nvidia rivals, including AMD, Broadcomand brain.

In a post on MondayX, Altman responded Discussion of his company’s relationship with Nvidia.

“We love working with NVIDIA, they make the best AI chips in the world,” he wrote. “We want to be a big customer for a long time. I don’t understand where all this madness comes from.”
