Yashasvi Jaiswal not happy with Rajasthan Royals management? : Preparations for the 2026 Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) have begun. Although the 2026 T20 World Cup is in full swing and India’s toughest T20 league is just over a month away from the IPL, some teams are already gearing up for the tournament.
Rajasthan Royals, winners of the inaugural tournament, are yet to start their preparations. India’s star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has been with the Royals since 2020 and has shown his talent in the team over the years.
Yashasvi Jaiswal ignored by RR
Royals dropped regular skipper Sanju Samson in exchange for experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja from Chennai Super Kings (CSK), leaving the team without a captain. According to the latest updates from ESPNcricinfo, all-rounder Riyan Parag will be leading the charge in the upcoming Cash League.

The decision was a shocking snub to Jadeja and Jaiswal. RR will announce their captain on Friday. It is understood that Yashasvi Jaiswal may not be in the fray. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been with the team for nearly six seasons, will be disappointed not to be named captain.
Yashasvi Jaiswal ready to leave RR?
Sharing his views, former opener Aakash Chopra replied to a fan saying that Jaiswal may also leave RR if his demands are not met. Royals will announce their captain at 4 pm (IST). One fan said, “YJ might not last long in RR…like,” to which Aakash Chopra replied, “most likely…if his dreams don’t match the team’s vision.”

Earlier, Akash said, “RR announced their new captain today. Parag is likely to be the captain. He is ready to be the next leader of the team. So, it makes sense.”
“But I wonder… has Jaiswal asked for a leadership role? Because I think he should. He has every right to feel he is falling behind in the race to Gill because of the lack of captaincy. His performance in every format has been second to none.”

“He was part of India’s World Cup-winning team…but when his turn came, Gill was picked and became the VC. The IPL is where you can show the world whether leadership is for you. Let’s see at 4 pm.”
Jaiswal has no leadership experience
Gill and Jaiswal are considered to be India’s upcoming superstars. However, the latter has often been in Gill’s shadow, especially in leadership areas. Yashasvi Jaiswal will leave Mumbai to captain Goa. However, he didn’t. Despite the initial reports and his initial transfer request, he stayed on to play for Mumbai.
Despite his outstanding performance, Yashavi Jaiswal was not included in the India T20 squad. In the ODI format, he was used as a substitute opener for the Men in Blue. However, he is a regular opener in the Test match side and has performed well in the traditional format of the game.
