WWE Legends Fred Ottman, known as Typhoon in the ring, opened up on Sunday about the health scare that resulted in his lengthy hospitalization last month.

The former professional wrestler said he had been in the hospital for about 30 days and wanted to let his fans, family and loved ones know he was OK but not “out of the woods” yet.

“Unfortunately, my gallbladder exploded inside me and released a bunch of poison into my body,” Altman said. “So, I’ve been in bed for 30 days. The doctors have been amazing – my surgeon and others. I had a bad infection and some things that I’ve been dealing with. As far as the infection, if I had waited another day, the doctors told my wife, I probably wouldn’t be with you or talk to you. God bless.”

“But I’m here, I’m Lost a lot of muscle mass. I lost a lot of different things. This is a brutal battle. I started learning how to walk again. This is a fight, this is a fight. “

The 69-year-old began his professional wrestling career in 1985, known as Sigfried when he debuted in Georgia Championship Wrestling. He performed in various territories before debuting in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in 1989 as Tugboat.

In 1991, he reappeared as “Typhoon” and became one half of “Typhoon”. tag team A natural disaster called an earthquake. He competed in World Championship Wrestling in 1993 and 1994 as The Shockmaster before earning a spot in the WWF.

After Ultraman last competed in the WWF in 1994, he moved on to other places. He participated in a 20-man grappling battle. WrestleMania 17.

Last year, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for “Earthquake.”
