WWE announced Monday royal rumbleis one of the company’s large-scale premium live events and will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2026.
The Royal Rumble was first held in 1988 and was primarily held in the United States. Ontario, Canada. It will be held in Indianapolis in February before heading overseas next year.

“WWE is a global company and we can only expand our relationship with the Kingdom by bringing one of our biggest annual events to Riyadh in January 2026,” WWE President Nick Khan said in a press release.
Saudi Arabia has hosted some high-profile live events in the past. Crown Jewel has always been a major event held in the country, while The Greatest Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber of Champions, and King and Queen of the Ring events are also held there.
“Saudi Arabia is hosting the Royal Rumble for the first time outside of North America, which demonstrates the General Entertainment Authority’s ongoing commitment to bringing the world’s largest and most important entertainment event to Saudi Arabia. Through our partnership with WWE, we aim to strengthen the entertainment industry and delivering a transformative experience that appeals to a wide audience,” added Turki al-Arasheh, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Entertainment General Authority.

The company said viewership for the event was up 28% from last year. This is also the sixth Crown Jewel event held at the Mohammed Abed Arena in Riyadh.
