Amazon Services on Amazon (AWS) Leaning on the growing trend towards traditional models with a new service it is said that businesses will bring more information and internal knowledge.
The move comes to run new AWS models as part of the Nova family, which expands the capabilities of reasoning models.
Nova 2 Lite, Nova 2 Pro, Nova 2 Sonic and Nova 2 Omni Update the first NOVA models announced last year.
Nova 2 Lite is a fast, effective reasoning model optimized for everyday tasks that can process text, images and video to create text. Nova 2 PRO, which AWS says is the most intelligent reasoning model, can control complex tasks such as coding agents and solving long-term planning. It can act as a “teacher” model for distillation projects. Nova 2 Sonic is a speech model, while Nova 2 Omni allows organizations to create organizations and images from text, video images and video.
Nova Act, ARSSE AGENT AGENT – announced as a April’s Experimental Development Kit – also powered by Nova 2 models and now available to customers.
However, it’s the custom service model, Nova Forge, that AWS is most excited about. The service provides customers with the ability to introduce proprietary data into a pre-trained model without fear of the model being forgotten in previous training.
Nova Forge allows businesses to create custom, optimized versions of Nova models, calling them “noverlash,” and bring them directly to the Amazon Bedrock platform.
Custom Model Creation
Businesses are increasing Model Distillation or Custom Modelespecially in many industries that choose to build foundational models domain specific knowledge. But this is often out of reach for many companies, as not everyone can afford many NVIVA GPU H100 to build models from scratch. As a result, they turn to well-designed open-source off-the-shelf models.
“Not only do you have a great way to get an integrated model that understands your data and your domain," Aws CEO Matt Garman said in his keynote speech at the annual re: Invention Conference. "But what if it could? What if you could incorporate your data at the right time to train a forward model, then create a proprietary model just for you? ”
Nova Forge has what AWS calls “Open Training,” which allows developers their proprietary data at every step of the model’s development, with checkpoints during training. AWS says that this means that models will not change the capabilities of the structure, such as the instruction that follows, while learning the knowledge and instructions of the company.
Each “noverla” will be a custom version of Nova 2 lite, with full knowledge and logic of Nova, but in the domain.
Right now, businesses can only make novellas from the Nova 2 lite, but many will expand to other Nova 2 models.
Nova Forge also offers businesses “Reinforcement Photos." It allows them to train AI systems through their own environments with simulated scenarios to create smaller, faster models and access responsible AI toolkits. Once companies have created their novellas, they can bring them to Bedrock to build more applications and agents.
A customer who is currently using Nova Forge is reddit, which combines its own data and community knowledge with a model to build a program in moderation.
Only Nova Forge works with NOVA models, and AWS does not plan to bring open-party models hosted on Bedrock (for now).
NOVA 2 2 models
AWS says tens of thousands of companies are currently using Nova models and the company expects Nova 2 models to see similar adoption.
“Nova 2 Lite provides a credible price performance for many of the workloads that we see our customers wanting to deliver to production,” said Garman. “We think the Nova 2 Lite will be the workhorse for many companies, while the PRO will be for more complex functions and when you need your agents to be great.”
In a press release, AWS said that evaluations showed that Nova 2 lite performed or 3 benchmarks compared to 14 benchmarks compared to Gincmarks in Gincmarks Compared to Gemini Flash 2.5. “
Users can adjust how the Nova 2 traps step-by-step thinking to balance the depth costs.
Nova PRO 2 also performed well in the benchmark test compared to Claude Sonnet 4.5, GPT-5.1 and Gemini 2.5 Pro. This model is best for multi-document analysis, video reasoning, advanced mathematics and engineering agents.
AWS said in a press release that both the nova 2 lite and pro “build-in grounding and code executing capabilities.”
Nova 2 Sonic, speech model, produces human conversations and now supports many languages. The updated model has a 1-million-token context window, with more expressive sounds and higher accuracy. The company said Sonic can switch topics mid-conversation.
The Nova 2 Omni handles “up to 750,000 words, hours of audio, long videos and hundreds of page contests, tutorials and video libraries instantly.”
