Willow: Has Google solved a key challenge in quantum computing?




In this science segment, we take a closer look at Google’s announcement that it has solved a key challenge in quantum computing, with a new chip that can achieve almost unfathomable speeds. Called Willow, the chip performed the standard test in less than five minutes, while today’s fastest supercomputers would take billions of years. So what exactly is the quantum revolution and what will it change in our world? FRANCE 24’s Julia Sieger tells us more.
