What’s holding up a ceasefire in Gaza? |Conflict

Former Israeli adviser Daniel Levy believes that Israel’s dehumanization of Palestinians is hindering peace efforts in Gaza.

Daniel Levy, a former Israeli government adviser, believes that despite Western and Arab efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has shown no interest in reaching an agreement.

Levy, president of the U.S./Middle East Project, told host Steve Clemons that the Israelis are aware of the atrocities they are committing in Gaza, but their complete dehumanization of Palestinians — coupled with a desire to strip them of their land and Human rights – prevent any opportunity for progress in action.

Levy believes that the result for Israel is that even if some Arab governments “normalize” relations, the region will not accept Israel.
