
Virgil van Dijk has refused to put a time frame on his contract talks with Liverpool but admitted there is still no update on his future with the club.
Van Dijk is approaching the final six months of his contract and has already turned down Liverpool’s initial offer of an extension. The terms on the table are not satisfactory for the 33-year-old.
That means the Dutchman is days away from being able to discuss a contract with overseas clubs, and there will be no shortage of interest in Van Dijk if he becomes available as a free agent.
Despite the fact, the clock is ticking, Van Dijk insisted he would not put a deadline on his decision.
Confirming there was no update on his situation, Van Dijk told reporters: “There is no deadline. We will see what the future brings.”
