Tyson Fury has now been confirmed to make his ring return at a UK stadium, according to reports.
“The Gypsy King” retired from the sport in January 2025 after two losses to Alexander Usyk. He confirmed what many thought was inevitable when he announced his comeback earlier this year.
With his sights set on a world title shot, revenge against Usyk or a long-awaited grudge match with Anthony Joshua later this year, Fury first got the win in what should have been an easier fight MachmudovDespite the strength of the Russian team, they have only lost twice.
The Ring’s Turki Alalshikh confirmed in a statement today that the showdown at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has now been booked.
“Fury vs. Mahmudov will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, April 11, with London’s landmark venue confirmed to host the heavyweight bout. The event is promoted by The Ring and will be broadcast globally on Netflix.
“A press conference will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday, February 16 at 4pm to give fans and media a first look at the two heavyweights ahead of the match. The press conference will be broadcast live on Ring Magazine and Netflix’s YouTube channel.”
The first fight was the fifth boxing card at Spurs Stadium, with Anthony Joshua’s first fight against Usyk before Fury’s trilogy with Derek Chisora a year later. In 2024, Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn faced off twice at the 62,850-capacity venue.
