Venezuelan human rights activist Javier Tarazona was released




Prominent Venezuelan human rights activist Javier Tarazona has been released after more than four years in prison, a legal rights group announced Sunday. Tarazona was arrested in July 2021 and is the latest in a series of high-profile political prisoner releases by Venezuela’s interim authorities since the January 3 ouster of Nicolas Maduro.
