The mystery spinner has been very consistent in the ongoing T20I series so far, taking two wickets in each of the first three games against South Africa.

His recent performance in Dharamshala clearly showed his value to the Indian cricket team. Chakravarthy bowled four very tight overs and conceded just 11 runs while taking two important wickets. His spell helped India win the third match by seven wickets in Dharamshala.

With these stunning performances, Chakravarthy has opened a huge distance away from the top spot in the ICC T20 bowling rankings. He is now 119 runs ahead of New Zealand’s second-ranked fast bowler Jacob Duffy, who has a score of 699.

The 34-year-old also achieved a rare historic milestone. Chakravarthy’s latest ratings have propelled him into the top 10 highest-ever ratings for T20I bowlers, making him one of the best players in the format. He became the highest-rated ICC bowler from India in the history of T20I cricket.
