Vanguard to open Crypto etfs to customers

Another day, one more financial institution covers Crypto. This time it was Vanguardthe second largest property management company in the world. Starting Tuesday, Bloomberg REPORTthe brokerage broker that has long taken the Crypto position Inappropriate Investments for its clients – start listing Crypto ETFS and Mutual Funds, including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP.

Vanguard has about $11 trillion in assets and more than 50 million customers. The move means investors of all types can now buy and sell Crypto etfs.

The company has, historically, not been shy about their discovery for Crypto. When the Bitcoin ETFS launched in the US last year, the CEO of Vanguard said that he did not believe that they belonged to a long-term portfolio.

But given the success of Crypto etfs in the last years, the broker could not pass up the opportunity. In late October, many etfs from smaller cryptocurrencies, such as Solana and Hedera, launched by other brokerages. One of the etfs, the Litteris Solana noted ETF (BSOL), has the best etf launch of 2025 of any asset class, according to Eric Balchunhias of Bloombun intelligence.

Crypto Etfs have seen massive trading volume since they first launched in 2024. In that year, Blackrock’s Ishares Bitcoin Trust etf (iThereum (etha) Apply recording inflows. Today, IBIT holds $66 billion worth of Bitcoin for its customers.

The Crypto industry has been fighting for ETFS since at least 2013, when Cameron and Tyler Winklevos sought approval for a bitcoin etf. After years of rejection from the Securities and Exchange Community, the doors are now opening for crypto funds.

Valuard’s bet on Crypto ETFS comes at a time when major cryptocurrencies are running high. Since the high of $126,000 in early October, plan is about 28% of the current price of almost $ 91,000. Ecareum and SolaA Down 22% and 24% from their current prices of $2,993 and $140, respectively.
