The United States (USA) has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held between India and Sri Lanka on February 7.
This will be Team USA’s second appearance at the ICC T20 World Cup, having surprised many by reaching the Super 8 stage in 2024, the first time the tournament was hosted on home soil and in the Caribbean.

For the upcoming mega event, Team USA has selected 10 players from the 2024 T20 World Cup squad. These players include captain Monank Patel, Jessy Singh, Andries Gous, Milind Kumar, Shayan Jahangir, Harmeet Singh, Nosthush Kenjige, Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Saurabh Nethravalkar and Ali Khan.

Patel has been retained as the captain for the upcoming 2026 ICC T20 World Cup. He will be one of Team USA’s biggest strengths heading into the 2026 T20 World Cup. The veteran captain has proven that he can lead the team on the biggest stage.

Under his leadership, Team USA shocked Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and reached the Super 8 on their debut. As captain, Monanke led the US team in 35 T20I matches, winning 23 of them, with three draws and one resultless one.
Aaron Jones sidelined by corruption charges; three young guns set to make US debut
However, Aaron Jones was not included in the US team’s squad for the tournament after their key batsman was provisionally suspended by the ICC. The 31-year-old was charged with five violations of the ICC’s anti-corruption guidelines. He has 14 days to respond to the charges.
Most of the cases relate to the 2023-24 Bim10 Championship in Barbados, where he is accused of fixing or trying to influence the competition. The ICC also charged Jones with failing to cooperate with the investigation, obstructing the investigation and failing to report corruption. Two of the charges relate to international cricket.
Meanwhile, the United States may see some new faces taking center stage in the 2026 T20 World Cup. All-rounder Shubham Ranjane will make his T20I debut on the biggest stage. Additionally, Mohammad Mohsin and Shehan Jayasuriya are also expected to make their debuts in the tournament.

The U.S. team is placed in a tough Group A, where they will face India, Pakistan, the Netherlands and Namibia. Their new season will begin with a high-pressure match against India at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on February 7, where unused stars are likely to grab the headlines.
