this University of Washington An investigation is underway into comments posted on social media by a researcher calling for the assassination of conservative voices.

Mara Maughan, who uses “she/they” pronouns according to her profile on the UW Fuller Laboratory website, is tagged RSE1 under “Research and Laboratory Personnel” in the Department of Microbiology.

“Wish there were Taylor Robinson For all of you,” Mohn wrote in a Facebook post directed at Corey DeAngelis, executive director of the Educational Freedom Institute.

Tyler Robinson is currently charged with the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

DeAngelis posted a video Washington State Democratic State Senator The headline is “He is unable to acknowledge that there are biological differences between men and women.”

“This kind of violent rhetoric from Marla Moon and too many on the left — who want assassins to target conservatives like me and my family — absolutely worries me because it not only normalizes political violence but fosters a dangerous environment where radical ideologies in academia and elsewhere threaten our freedoms and security without accountability,” DeAngelis told Fox News Digital.

“I’ve seen how the left resorts to these tactics when its arguments fail, and it’s time for institutions like the University of Washington to step up and condemn and discipline this kind of hate to prevent real-world tragedies.”

President media accuracyA group that has been actively investigating UW radicalism for years said the remarks at the liberal-leaning university were unfortunately not surprising.

“UW administrators say they oppose violence, but their actions speak louder than words,” Adam Gillette told Fox News Digital. “They have repeatedly allowed violence and violent rhetoric from students and staff.”

“The university is already federal investigation It’s time to defund it,” Gillette added.

When contacted by Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for the university responded to an email inquiry and issued a statement.

“The University of Washington School of Medicine condemns violence against all people and takes seriously the concerns reported to us regarding this matter,” a UW spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “We are reviewing the specific circumstances of this situation, including a detailed review of the facts, university policies and the law, and will determine next steps.”

DeAngelis wasn’t entirely satisfied with the university’s response.

“I’m pleased that UW Medicine is finally investigating this matter after public outcry, but their actions will speak louder than this boilerplate statement with no substance – if they truly condemn the violence, they will take real disciplinary action against Marla Maughan and institute meaningful accountability to prevent this kind of hate speech from their staff in the future.”
