Underwater chess champion competes for world title


Diving World Chess Championships held in Groningen, Netherlands, with players using weighted chess pieces and magnetic boards.

Competitors must also complete each move in one breath before resurfacing for air.

Former Dutch champion Zyon Kollen won the men’s title, while 17-year-old Josephine Damen, also from the Netherlands, won the women’s title.
