The retired UFC fighter was escorted off the plane after a seat incident with Alaska Airlines staff in Las Vegas, US.

Video circulating online shows UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov getting into a seat dispute with airline staff at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, resulting in the Russian being escorted off his flight Flights to Los Angeles.

At issue was whether Nurmagomedov, who was sitting in the exit row of the plane, was ready or able to help other passengers in an emergency.

In the video, an Alaska Airlines flight attendant asked the 36-year-old man if he had the ability to help others in his window exit seat if needed.

The incident was recorded on another passenger’s mobile phone, with the flight attendant saying: “We can’t seat you in the exit row… I’m not going to do that back and forth. I’m going to call a supervisor. You can choose another seat or we can I’ll escort you off the plane directly.”

Nurmagomedov responded to the flight attendant saying, “That’s not fair.” He also said he fully complied with the crew’s requests during the boarding process, adding: “When I checked in, they Asked me if I knew English…I said yes. Then why are you doing this?”

The flight attendant’s manager, who was not happy with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend’s response, can be heard in the video repeatedly offering Nurmagomedov another seat on the plane and letting him choose to take another flight flight. Nurmagomedov was reportedly escorted off the plane along with his traveling companion.

Nurmagomedov is believed to be flying to California to cheer on his teammates ahead of the UFC 311 event on January 18 in Los Angeles, Nevada, USA.

Nurmagomedov, a Muslim, is unbeaten in his UFC career (29-0) and is considered by many to be one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.

Alaska Airlines and Nurmagomedov have yet to comment on the incident, which is believed to have occurred on January 11.
