Arslambek Makhmudov promoter Kamil Estefan says his “goal” is to get Tyson Fury back into retirement “for real”.
Fury is preparing for his comeback against Mahmudov on Saturday, April 11, at a venue yet to be determined.
The 37-year-old British star regularly posts videos on social media vowing to dominate the heavyweight division, but iron-fisted Makhmudov hopes to derail these ambitious plans with a crushing defeat.
His promoter Estefan told sky sports: “Our goal is to retire him, for real this time!”
But Fury insists preparations for his first fight since his rematch loss to Oleksandr Usyk in December are on track.
Fury: April 11th, let’s go!
Fury said on his official Instagram: “Just completed a lovely three mile run, nice and fast in the sunshine.
“After boxing, you will probably do about 12-15 rounds and at least 1,000 sit-ups.”
“It went really well. I don’t remember being so happy. I’m in a really good spot, I’m in a positive spot. I’m happy and I’m looking forward to my fight.
“On April 11, 2026, let’s go!”
