Harry Kane returned from nearly three weeks out with injury as Bayern hosted RB Leipzig on Friday – but Jamal Musiala stole the show with a goal a minute later.
England skipper Kane headed in the opener with a pass from Michael Olisse, who scored the Germany international’s fourth goal in four games from a close range.
Leipzig were behind less than 60 seconds after Lois Openda broke into space and crossed to slot Benjamin Cesko.
The equalizer marked the first time in German top-flight history that two teams scored in the first two minutes of a match.

Kane returns from injury
Bundesliga top scorer Kane has missed three league and one Champions League matches with a hamstring problem and his absence was most keenly felt in Bayern’s 2-1 defeat at Mainz on Saturday – their first defeat in the league since Vincent Kompany was appointed manager in May.
There was no need for Kane to restore Bayern’s early lead against Leipzig, however, as former Red Bulls midfielder Konrad Lamar volleyed in front to complete a one-two with Ollis after 25 minutes.
Lamar’s first league goal of the campaign was his second in three games in a 5–1 win at Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on 10 December.
As if motivated by being able to call upon their most famous player once again, Bayern then added a third courtesy of Joshua Kimmich.
The Germany midfielder struck from 25 yards in the 36th minute, ending his wait of more than a year for a league goal in spectacular fashion.

Bayern vs Leipzig
Kane has scored 19 goals in 17 Bundesliga and Champions League games in 2024/25, but the 31-year-old perhaps showed his rawness from the opportunity presented three minutes later, making a reckless save that was routinely claimed by goalkeeper Peter Gulasi.
Bayern started the evening four points behind second-placed Bayer Leverkusen on goal difference after 14 matches for both teams.
Marco Rose’s Leipzig had won their last two league matches and knew victory would send them into second place, three points behind Bayern.
