Trump’s envoy met with Putin about the war in Ukraine

Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s special envoy, is expected to speak with Russian President Vladimir V. Putin about a U.S.-backed peace proposal that was revised by U.S. officials after recent talks with Ukrainian diplomats.

This morning, here in Ireland, our team held a full briefing following the meetings in the United States. We are also fully engaged in the negotiations and are only intensifying our efforts. Our team is now waiting for the next very important meetings. Today, Ukraine is closer to peace than ever before. And there is a real, real chance.
