President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday spoke out against a Republican-backed government spending bill, backing Elon Musk’s campaign against the plan and raising the possibility of a government shutdown.

Trump opposes the resolution that Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson continues to introduce, according to a source familiar with the president-elect’s thinking who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe private conversations.

Sources confirmed that Trump told the Fox News host that he was “totally opposed” to CR.
