Trump cuts India’s tariffs after Modi agrees to stop buying oil from Russia




US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he had struck a trade deal with India to reduce tariffs after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to stop buying Russian oil because of the war in Ukraine. He said taxes on Indian goods will drop to 18 percent from 25 percent under the agreement.
