The US president told reporters that Isaac Herzog should be “ashamed” of not pardoning Netanyahu on bribery charges.

Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on Israeli President Isaac Herzog as he seeks to pardon his ally Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who faces bribery charges.

The US president told reporters on Thursday that Israel’s prime minister was an “extraordinary” wartime leader. He then denounced Herzog for failing to grant clemency to President Netanyahu.
