The US blockade deepens the Cuban energy crisis




Through political pressure, the United States effectively cut off Cuba’s access to primary sources of oil in Venezuela and Mexico. The Caribbean nation has been rattled by a US-ordered suspension of oil shipments from Caracas after US troops captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro last month.
