The reaction of French politicians to the appointment of a new government




In France, the new Prime Minister François Bayrou appointed a new cabinet. It includes some serious political heavyweights of French politics, such as two former prime ministers, Elisabeth Borne and Manuel Valls. However, the new cabinet is also packed with people from France’s centre-right, just like the previous government – once again raising the specter of a potential no-confidence vote against the political opposition.
