The Rafah border crossing to Gaza is open to limited passage, Israel says

On Sunday, Israel reopened the Rafah border crossing to people who can travel between Gaza and Egypt, the first opening of effectively the only route into or out of the Palestinian territory since May 2024. Israel captured the crossing in May 2024, nine months after launching attacks on the region.
