What if I told you there was a healthy dinner you could make any night of the week in about 12 minutes with no prep or planning and very little mess to clean up? It’s true, and it’s my new go-to meal for busy nights when I don’t want to stretch my budget or healthy eating habits. What is needed is a small trust device that we call air fryer.
If you’re tired of people telling you to eat more fish, this is your ticket to a year full of omega-3 fatty acids and no nasty pots and pans to wash afterwards. Salmon cooked in an air fryer gets a nice crust similar to a pan-sear but stays moist and tender inside as long as you don’t overcook it.
A fresh filet and seasonings are all you need to make the perfect air fryer salmon dinner.
The air fryer gets a lot of credit for its work chicken wings and french friesbut usually it looks like it was made in a lab to cook fatty salmon filets. The powerful air fryer only takes 1 or 2 minutes to preheat, so if you’re making a quick weeknight dinner for one or two, making salmon in the air fryer is an ace up your sleeve.

The air fryer is my go-to for roast chicken, replacing my dish-heavy slow and dirty oven recipe. I recently learned to make juicy air fryer cheeseburgers and sizzle bacon in less than 10 minutes and without dirtying a skillet or sheet pan.
Air fryers are convenient and can do many of the same jobs as an oven. They only take a few minutes to preheat, there are a lot of cooking messes you need to spend time cleaning and are generally more energy efficient cookware.
If you plan to cook foods with an air fryer, you need to make sure that you have enough space inside your appliance for the food you want to cook. Many air fryers can accommodate for one person’s serving size, but you will probably need to use the air fryer several times to make enough food for your entire family.
