The new Syrian rulers arrested the official behind Saydnaya’s death sentences




Syria’s new government has detained military justice official Mohammed Kanjo Hassan, who carried out executions at Saydnaya prison under ousted President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed on Thursday. His arrest followed deadly clashes in Tartus, Assad’s stronghold, as gunmen tried to protect him.
