The leader of the Venezuelan opposition appeared in public for the first time in several months




Maria Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner, made her first public appearance in nearly a year on Thursday, waving to supporters from the balcony of her hotel in Oslo. Her daughter accepted the award on her behalf on Wednesday, as Machado arrived in Norway just hours later, ending a long period in hiding under the Maduro regime.
