Netflix is back with another one livestream production guaranteed to excite K-POP fans around the world. The streamer announced that BTS will perform live on Netflix. This marked the band’s first performance in nearly four years — the members took a break to complete mandatory military service in South Korea.
The live concert will be broadcast on Saturday, March 21, one day later BTS released their new album Right now and a suitable title BTS The Comeback Live | Right now. The show will physically take place at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul and stream live at 8PM KST/7 AM ET/4 AM ET. Yes, US viewers will have to choose between an early Saturday oa kindness late Friday night. Alternatively, you can skip any potential glitches in the livestream and probably watch it later (or catch the K-Pop group on their upcoming world tour).
Also, come Friday, March 27, Netflix will release BTS: The Returna documentary about the making of Right now. As Netflix says: “The film offers incredible behind-the-scenes access as the group comes back together and charts an unprecedented path together after a nearly four-year hiatus.”
Netflix has been relying heavily on livestreaming for the past few years — though the BTS concert may have been its biggest coup.
