Protesting French farmers blocked roads across France on Tuesday over a mass cull to prevent the spread of a cattle disease. Anger over the sanitary measures combined with farmers’ concerns over a planned trade deal with Mercosur has forced France to seek a delay in the EU vote, which officials say is now likely to happen.
