The EU is ‘still very uncomfortable with India-Russia relations’, says expert ahead of free trade deal




According to reports, the European Union and India will explore the possibilities of India’s participation in European defense initiatives. Speaking to FRANCE 24’s Sharon Gaffney, Christophe Jaffrelot, director of research at CNRS, explains that the addition of defense cooperation to a broad free trade agreement is a political message from the EU to current allies and rivals, but adds that the EU is ‘still very uncomfortable about India-Russia relations’.
