The Best Robots at CES 2025

They can scoot, flip, grab a candy bar, and gently work it into your waiting palm. The best robots in CES 2025 doesn’t show any revolution in the mobility department, at least compared to 2024. However, robotics at this year’s CES—even the best or the weirdest—seemed focused on acting cute for the camera.

The best bots of last year’s CES brought us humanoid models like Unitree’s H1 with no face and Enchanted Tool’s Mirokai with possibly too many faces. Those same robotics companies showed up at this year’s show with slightly improved models and — of course — the addition of AI chatbots. Small players are not alone in adding AI to bots. Samsung and TCL are attracting people with their home robots full of vision content and AI text models.

Why would you want a robot in your life? Well, because it’s so cute, that’s what. Yukai Engineering’s Mirumi is a small, furry robot that sits in your pocketbook and stares at the people around it. It does nothing but focus, and the sensors involved help it detect when people are around it. You can place his arms wherever you want for a truly surprising Elf of a Shelf moment when people walk into your room. Of all the bots on this list that suggest you need an AI-powered machine in your home to ask, Mirumi wants to look cute. That way, it will work.

People are still confused by Tombot’s Jennie labrador robot and similar fuzzy bots. It makes sense though, why don’t we have more robotic animals roaming around our homes? Metapet showed off its Noono AI robotic pet hamsters at CES 2025. Ignore the big glowing lights that ooze from their noses. When you pet it, it moves by arching its back. When it needs to be recharged, you put it in its own baby carrier-type basket.

Samsung Ball

Ballie was one of the stars of CES 2024, but for 2025, it received some upgrades. With an improved AI model, the spherical bot can now provide more specific answers to users’ questions. The bot should also provide faster response times, which was important for a demo where Samsung reps asked Ballie to recommend some wine options. The rolling robot still has a projector screen that allows users to interact with it, although it may still be too slow for most users who expect instant gratification. Before you ask, Samsung hasn’t revealed anything about a potential release date or any additional information about possible pricing.

TCL Love

TCL’s robot concept is very similar to Samsung’s Ballie except for a cute, animal-like baby head. AiMe includes three “cores” loaded with different AI models. The drive core allows it to move around, including speakers for sound. “Baby Core” includes additional AI functionality, allowing it to use AI vision and speech to interact with users. There is a final “Mini Core” that can detach and act as an on-the-go AI connection. The demos TCL used to show AiMe at CES didn’t give us a good sense of its full capabilities. Instead, we watch a baby bot walk around, winking and offering us a taste of a future where cute bots take over.

Galbot Convenience Store Bot

Nvidia’s showcase at CES included several demos for the new GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards. However, the company also offered Galbot some space, using the chipmaker’s dataset for hand robotics. To demonstrate these capabilities, Galbot rolls their humanoid onto a shelf full of candy and drinks, clamps it with prong-shaped claws, and then slowly drops the food into the human’s hand. Did they save their free snack? No, of course not.

Unitree Go2 Robot Dog

Unitree put its two-legged G1 model on display at CES, though the robot remained stationary when we visited the robotics company’s booth. Some reporters mentioned that the G1 would easily sprint at full speed through the audience simply because the control person pressed the wrong button at the wrong time. Instead, Unitree has a quadrupedal dog bot, the Go 2, that does tricks for us. The dog bot can walk on two legs, walk on its hind legs, and do flips with a simple command. The Go 2 has an ultra-wide 4D LiDAR sensor for monitoring its surroundings. Even better, you can buy a small robot dog starting at $1,600. Compare that to Boston Dynamics’ similar robot dog Spot, which can cost $74,500, and the Go2 seems more manageable.

Jzai Wed-Mon

Imagine if the Pixar lamp mascot grew spider legs and shuffled toward you on flailing arms. Jzai’s Mi-Mo is a six-legged table with an attached lamp, but despite any initial apprehension, the bot is polite enough to wave its arm at the surrounding CES-goers. Mi-Mo uses a lot of AI vision models to try to interact with its environment, although it’s still limited in what it can do. Its current design is not as fast as other crab tables Last year’s Carpentopod designalthough maybe if these tables remain respectful, I would enjoy having a strut in my house.

Roborock Saros Z70

Robovacs don’t usually get as much excitement from the robotics crowd as they used to, but you add an arm to one, and suddenly, a device like the Roborock Saros Z70 seems new. The Z70’s “Omnigrip” arm component should track and grab any rogue socks on your carpet. It’s not fast, but if you or your kids are too lazy to bend down and remove trash from your floor, the Saros Z70 will do it for you.
