What qualifies a video game as “depressing?” The most obvious answer is that the game will never beat you no matter how hard you try, but that’s not what we’re talking about here. Instead, we look at games for what they are, whether it’s directly from the beats of the story or a more subtle vibe given by the visuals, music or activities the player has to participate in.
