Same as Five senses deck above, this scratch-off card set takes place sequentially, with optional “level up” cards to really push intimacy, and separate cards for each partner with secret directions. For this date, you both bring a red item that you show at certain points to show that you are open to physical touch. Then you go to dinner and have an intentional conversation, and every time a partner pulls the red thing, you follow the impulses to initiate more intimate physical acts, from hand holding to neck kisses. So there we were, at Illegal Taqueriaswapping each other over al pastor tacos (I kid).
Many of the cards encourage a partner not to interrupt or solve problems, but to ask questions and talk dirty. My date said, “I think it’s for couples who hate each other.” I have to agree. The second part of the date involved driving through stoplights, but since we were in Brooklyn, we walked down a trash-strewn sidewalk and pretended to be a suburban couple on the fritz.
The rest of the date includes buying things for sexy time, such as whipped cream and blindfolds. I’m vegan and have no desire to lick the cream off the chest hair, so we went home, undressed, and did our best with our eyes closed (instead of a blindfold). It was overall a wonderful experience for both of us, I think. If you and your partner need more stimulation to connect, compliment, and be physical, this set is for you.
Date: Greg, 10/10 (Note: I didn’t find this guy on Hinge; I met him the old-fashioned way, at a bar at 2 in the morning.)
