The Austrian president tasks the far-right leader with forming a new coalition government




Austria’s president on Monday tasked far-right Freedom Party leader Herbert Kickl with trying to form a new government after outgoing Chancellor Karl Nehammer failed. Nehammer announced his resignation on Saturday after coalition negotiations broke down.
