Terrence Crawford reveals what he said to Teofimo Lopez Sr. during yesterday’s heated exchange at weigh-in Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson.
The two heavyweight stars will face off for the last time before a super lightweight showdown in New York’s Madison Square Garden early tomorrow morning.
With both men staying under the 140-pound limit, there wasn’t much drama on the scale, but rather a brief confrontation between Crawford and Lopez Sr.
The elder Lopez, who holds his son’s WBO world title, appeared to be mocking Stevenson’s close friend “Bud” while moving around in a strange way.
In response, the former undisputed champion of Division Three announced his retirement last monthdecided to ask a few words to his father and trainer.

talk with battle center tv Later that night, the 38-year-old didn’t hesitate to explain why he was unhappy with Lopez Sr.’s behavior.
“I just told him about himself – and he knew what I was saying. He had to stop being a clown.
“It’s cool to promote a fight, but I can’t fight. Leave me alone – I’m retired. You don’t have to make antics with me.”
It’s perhaps only natural that Stevenson and Lopez’s respective teams would eventually clash, especially given the history of trash-talking between Crawford and Lopez.
Regardless, the game itself is expected to be a spectacular spectacle, with fans on the edge of their seats even if the pyrotechnics are a bit less than promised.
Judging by their style, this super-lightweight encounter seemed more like an intense chess match between two elite counterattackers than a chaotic shootout between two reckless gunslingers.
