TBCPL launches first T10 tournament, Yuvraj Singh as brand ambassador


Tennis Cricket Premier League (TBCPL) has launched its first professional T10 tournament called TBCPL 10. The event will feature eight franchise teams. TBCPL 10 is scheduled to be held from May 26 to June 5, 2025.

While the venue of the competition has not yet been announced, participating teams will represent major cities in India. This includes:

1. Mumbai Mavericks

2. Delhi Dynamos

3. Bangalore Blasters

4. Kolkata Kings

5. Chandigarh Champion

6. Hyderabad Hunters

7. Ahmedabad Avengers

8.Chennai Challengers

Tournament formats and player auctions

TBCPL 10 will have 31 league games, followed by 4 playoff games. The league’s extensive talent search will span 50 cities across India, ensuring that aspiring cricketers from across the country get a chance to shine.

The inaugural player auction will take place on May 5-6, 2025, with franchise teams building their teams from a pool of talented players identified during tryouts.

TBCPL 10 is a ground-breaking initiative to transform tennis cricket from a recreational pastime into a professional sport. The league’s sustainable business model has been hailed as a game-changer in cricket management.

“TBCPL 10 represents a revolutionary step in organizing tennis and cricket at the professional level,” said Mohit Joon, key stakeholder at TBC Pvt Ltd. “We plan to conduct the pilot in 50 cities and we are creating the widest Tennis Talent Search Online Cricket History.”

Yuvraj Singh serves as brand ambassador

Indian superstar Yuvraj Singh Appointed as the brand ambassador of TBCPL 10. He will become the global face of the league.

Talking about his role, Yuvraj said: “I am delighted to be a part of a historic moment in cricket. TBCPL 10 is the first event to attract professional tennis and cricket talent from numerous cities in India simultaneously. For many It’s a dream come true for aspiring cricketers.”

Creating new opportunities for aspiring cricketers

The promoters of the league aim to bridge the gap between street cricket and professional sports by creating opportunities for hidden talents.

“Never before has a cricket tournament of this scale been hosted in so many cities,” said Naresh Pawar, promoter of TBCPL 10. “This tournament will bridge the gap between street cricket and professional sport, creating new opportunities for talent across the country.”

With the addition of Sony Sports Network, TBCPL 10 will have worldwide coverage. This innovative format and talent pool may appeal to cricket lovers and new players alike.
