Speaking in Delhi on Tuesday, a day after Pakistan officially withdrew its boycott of the February 15 group matches, Ten Dushat expressed relief that the match would go ahead as scheduled. More importantly, he stressed that India is ready and assumes that the high-profile match will take place.
“First of all, it’s great to have the game back on,” Dushat said this in an interview with reporters before the match between India and India on the 10th Namibia.
“We never really changed our preparations thinking it wasn’t going to happen. We believed things would work out, so there were no major changes to the plans from our perspective,” he added.

Ten ducharts on India’s challenge to Pakistan
The grand match will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, where Pakistan has already settled. The Men in Green have been in the Sri Lankan capital for almost two weeks, playing their first group match at the Sinhala Sports Club. Ten Dushat believes that extending the stay could provide Pakistan with subtle but meaningful advantages.
“It will be a challenge to go to Colombo, where Pakistan have been for the past two weeks. They have had time to adapt to the conditions, the weather and the pitch. We understand and respect that.” Ten Duchart explained.
Pakistan also enjoyed a four-day break between the second match of the group stage on February 10 and the match against India on February 15, which was a window for them to recover and adjust their strategy. India, on the other hand, faces a much tighter schedule. They will face Namibia in Delhi on Thursday before flying to Colombo on February 13 – with very limited time to adapt to local conditions before the blockbuster showdown.
