Super Bowl 2026: NFL has no ICE immigration enforcement plan despite comments from Donald Trump | NFL News

The NFL has no plans to conduct immigration enforcement against ICE during Super Bowl Sunday.

Two people have been killed by ICE agents in the United States last month since President Donald Trump began what he called “the largest immigration enforcement operation ever” in Minnesota.

Reuters Security measures ahead of Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will reportedly remain consistent with past Super Bowls.

The Department of Homeland Security is understood to be helping coordinate the multiple federal agencies responsible for security at the event.

“Safety is obviously one of our top concerns,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said when asked about the possibility of ICE being on site.

“This is a SEAR-1 level event involving unique assets at the federal level, state level and local level, all working together. I don’t see any change in that.

“We’re working with all three levels and doing everything we can to make sure this is a safe environment. The federal government is a big part of that, both this administration and all the others before it.”

On Monday, a small group of less than 100 people protested ICE’s actions at an NFL opening night event in San Jose.

Rapper Bad Bunny will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, one week after making “ICE out” comments at the Grammy Awards last Sunday.

In October, President Trump called the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny to headline its halftime show “absolutely ridiculous.”

“I think last night proved that Bad Bunny is one of the greatest artists in the world, and that’s one of the reasons why we chose him,” Goodwell said.

“But the other reason is that he understands the platform he’s on, which is meant to unite people, to be able to bring people’s creativity and talent together, and to be able to use this moment to do that.

“I think artists in the past have done that. I think Bad Bunny understands that, and I think he’s going to have a great show.”

This Sunday, you can watch Super Bowl 60 between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which will be broadcast live on Sky Spots NFL at 10 p.m., followed by kickoff around 11:30 p.m. Get Sky Sports or NOW live broadcast without contract.
