Still unbeaten at the Stadium of Light this season, Sunderland welcome Manchester City for Wearside to a Premier League Meeting on Thursday night, the visitors went on a six-match league winning run.
Sunderland go into Thursday’s contest knowing they have little chance of troubling Manchester City, but their home form this season offers real encouragement.
The Black Cats are unbeaten in nine Premier League matches at the Stadium of Light, collecting points against several sides currently competing near the top of the table.

Sunderland are without several first team players due to injury and Africa Cup of Nations commitments. Ajibola Alese and Daniel Ballard have been sidelined, while Habib Diarra, Bertrand Traore, Chamsdin Talbi, Noah Sadiki, Arthur Masuaku and Renildo Mandwa are on international duty.
Wilson Isidore is expected to feature from the bench with three of his four league goals coming at home this season.
Manchester City have fewer absences but John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Jeremy Doku and Oscar Bob are still missing through injury. Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait Nouri are unavailable due to AFCON engagements.
