FOX Business’ Madison Alworth and a “Mornings with Maria” panel discuss the latest updates on the coordinated picketing effort by Amazon warehouse workers days before Christmas.
An Amazon Delivery Driver dumped about 80 packages in a wooded area of Massachusetts just days before the holiday, according to police.
The Lakeville Police Department said one of his sergeants discovered the unattended items early Sunday morning while on routine patrol.
“Upon further investigation, Sergeant Shawn Robert determined that they were three large bags filled with Amazon packages that were scattered several feet away in the woods,” he said in a statement. “Police officers loaded the bags into a pickup truck and took them back to the Lakeville Police Department, where they inventoried about 80 packages.”
The next day, an Amazon delivery man visited the police department and “reported that they left the packages on the side of the road around 7:00 p.m. Saturday because they were stressed,” according to authorities.

The incident comes as Teamster drivers have expanded their strike against Amazon following the company’s “repeated refusal to abide by the law and negotiate.”
The union claims Amazon ignored its December 15 deadline to negotiate new contracts for higher wages, better benefits and safer working conditions.

Amazon has stood its ground, however, insisting they have no intention of sitting down with the Teamsters because, in their words, they “do not represent any Amazon employee.”
