Spain announces plans to ban social media for under-16s


Under the changes, social media platforms will be required to have effective age verification systems that are “not just checkboxes but real barriers that work,” the Prime Minister explained, potentially referring to loopholes used by Australian children to bypass checks – including simply using photos of adults.
