Harry Kane and Son-Heung Min are the Premier League’s most famous pairing, but it’s been almost two years since they joined Tottenham.
The England captain left for Bayern Munich soon after Ange Postecoglou arrived in north London, leaving his son to take over the captaincy and his leadership role.
Their combined goal-scoring exploits are simply legendary. In 2022, they surpassed Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba’s record for most combined goals in the competition.
Kane consistently found Son with perfectly weighted through balls, using the South Korean’s blistering pace, all the while pounding into the goal himself.
And now the South Korean legend has opened up about his relationship with his former No.10, putting him at the top when it comes to players he has shared the pitch with.
In an interview with TNT Sports, Son said: “I think, the German league is still one of the best leagues and when we talk about Harry (Kane), I don’t need to give him any advice. For me, it is the best.
“It’s just for me… the best”

“Because he’s my friend, obviously, you get some bonus points. He’ll always be in my top three, no matter what happens, he’ll always be in my top three.
“And especially, we had a fantastic connection and we played together and we combined for a lot of goals and yes, it’s always a dream to have that kind of striker.”
Love was definitely reciprocated. After Sun reached 400 appearances for Tottenham, Kane sent a video message to his son, saying: “Obviously, I’ve been lucky to spend a lot of appearances with you.”
While Son will undoubtedly feel the impact of Kane’s move to Bayern Munich, their mutual respect remains strong.
Son and Kane’s partnership will remain a strong memory for Spurs fans for decades to come and there may even be a time when Kane chooses to return for one last dance with his former team-mate.
