It is called Odd Jobs and it looks at the gig economy through a deeply dystopian lens—and given the source, we expect a lot of hilarity to come out of that concept.

The show follows a reluctant group of gig-workers as they travel around the neo Midwest, doing the weirdest and most dangerous tasks requested by the ODD JOBS app.”
In a trade statement, co-creators Dominic Dierkes and Mike McMahan—the two Opposite of Solar alum; McMahan’s other credits include Star Trek: Below Deck and Rick and Morty— explained. “While we were wandering in the wilderness, we accidentally stumbled upon a portal and found ourselves hundreds of years into the future,” they said. “We’ve witnessed strange and strange omens about where humanity is headed. Instead of acting on the warnings, we’re excited to turn it into an animated show.”
Melissa Wolfe, head of animation for Amazon MGM Studios, called Odd Jobs “Sharp, absurd, and laugh-out-loud funny, taking an imaginative view of the future that’s as messy as it is fun.”
Yes. Sold. We’re 100% on board with it, and we’ve yet to see a frame, know any details about its voice cast, or even have any idea when Odd Jobs may have hit the screens. Rest assured that we will eagerly track its progress and update you as we learn more.
