The ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has started changing the player rankings with several stars making big moves after the first round. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza created the biggest stir, regaining the crown as the number one all-rounder in T20I cricket.
A total of 20 teams are divided into four groups. Australia are the only team yet to participate in the T20 World Cup. New Zealand opener Tim Seifert tops the run-scoring charts with 154 runs in two games at a strike rate of 183.33. Shadley van Schalkwyk of Team USA took 8 wickets in two games.
Sikandar Raza regains top spot as all-rounder
Sikandar Raza was rewarded for his match-winning performance in the T20 World Cup opener against Oman. Raza played a disciplined spell of 1/17 in his four overs to restrict Oman to 103 and later came back to hit the winning run.

Raza jumped one spot, overtaking Pakistan opener Saim Ayub, to regain the number one spot in the ICC T20I all-round rankings. The Zimbabwe captain previously held the top spot at the end of 2025.
Saim Ayub slipped to second place while India’s Hardik Pandya held on to third place. Ayoub has scored 43 points in two games with an average of 21.50 and a shooting percentage of 136.08. The unspinner has taken two wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan completes top three; Ishan Kishan’s huge haul
The batting charts have changed a lot in the top ten after the latest update. Indian opener Abhishek Sharma continues to maintain his position at the top of the batting charts. Abhishek Sharma continues to maintain his lead over England’s Phil Salt.

India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy continues to retain the number one spot ahead of Pakistan’s spinner Abrar Ahmed. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga moved up one spot to fifth, the only change in the top ten.
Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh moved up three places to knock on the door of the top 10 with 11th place. Pakistan bowler Salman Mirza jumped nine spots to 13th, while Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans jumped 16 spots to tie for 15th.
New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner (up four places to 19th) and Scotland’s Bradley Currie (up 25 places to 24th) also made significant improvements after their first rounds.
