Two people were killed and at least one injured Thursday in a school shooting. south carolina state university.
The university confirmed the incident in a statement, adding South Carolina Law Enforcement Department (SLED) is investigating the shooting.
The identities of the victims and the conditions of the injured have not been released.
The university said it issued a campus lockdown around 9:15 p.m. Thursday following reports of a shooting in an apartment in the Hugine Suites student housing complex.

The university’s Department of Public Safety is patrolling in and around campus with assistance from the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety and the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
