Workload management is key
Bond stressed the importance of carefully managing Bumrah’s workload, especially during high-stakes games and tours. He recommends playing bumrah in two upcoming consecutive tests in India Five test series in England. The shift from IPL to test cricket can pose significant risks due to drastic changes in bowling intensity and workload.
“The transition from IPL to test cricket will be a huge risk. He is too valuable for the next World Cup and other things. So you’ll be watching five tests in England and I don’t want to play him twice in a row.” Bonds were added.
