Zab Judah predicts Shakur Stevenson will “tear down” Teofimo Lopez is up to 140 in early 2026 to fight his WBO lightweight middleweight championship.
Judas, 47, the top five division world champion, says Shakur (24-0, 11 KOS) will go “Break him” In his still not yet in the battle with Lopez (22-1, 13 KO). It is too early to negotiate whether this battle will happen.
Shakur doesn’t have the power to stand and trade like last summer against William Zepeda on July 12. He can’t do this with Teofimo without a big shot. In that battle, Zepeda was essentially defeated by Zepeda, and he was not the same as Lopez’s boxer.
“You can’t beat something you can’t hit”
“He will tear him down. The style he has, he will break him. You can’t beat things you can’t beat. That boy (shakir) can do everything. Millcity Boxingpredicts Shakur Stevenson will beat Teofimo Lopez.
Shakur took a lot of hits in his last three battles with these guys:
- William Zepeda
- Josh Padley
- Artem Harutyunyan
“I think what they’re doing is creating a superhero machine and showing the world what they’re doing is bigger than the average person. They break the records and astronomical numbers and do it as a team. It’s huge.”
The breakout record part refers to the 38-year-old Judah becoming the undisputed champion in the third division, including Crawford. But Bud’s battle numbers with Canelo Alvarez are not astronomy, with 41 million viewers worldwide on Netflix.
They are well below Jake Paul’s 108 million viewers versus Mike Tyson. Jake’s next fight with Gervonta Davis on November 14 may attract Netflix audiences, and Canelo vs. Crawford’s fight could attract more viewers as well.
I think they are angry that they can’t stop me, you say you hate me, but you like to see me 🗣️

Shakur got it wrong. Fans on social media are not angry. They criticized him for seeing his fighting style as “boring”, and they noticed that he had not fought any elite opposition since he was promoted to 135 in 2023.
Is this Shakur’s cash struggle?
He and his promoters both chose him safely, matching Josh Padley, Artem Harutyunyan, Shuichiro Yoshino and William Zepeda. Shakur has no adventure, it is understandable why he is a ticka warrior. You can’t title with his fighting style and the weak opposition.
Stevenson tries to fight for Teofimo Lopez with a 140 WBO title. That game was seen as cash on him, hunting for a big payday in a fight where he was unlikely to win the game.
